What data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you hold over it. We keep this short and plain on purpose.
Data Collection
Automwise Content collects information you provide directly when creating an account, including your name, email address, and organization details. When installed from Shopify, we also process the shop domain, shop name, owner or contact email, granted access scopes, encrypted access credentials, product catalog content, product metafields, store locales, inventory availability, and blog content required to provide product synchronization and publishing.
We do not request or store Shopify customer, order, payment, or checkout data. When you use our AI features, submitted content is processed only to deliver the requested results and is not used to train AI models. We collect limited usage and diagnostic data to secure and improve the service.
How We Use Data
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Automwise Content services
- Process your content through AI models for analysis, writing, and optimization
- Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, billing notices)
- Monitor usage to enforce plan limits and prevent abuse
- Generate aggregated, anonymized analytics to improve the platform
Data Storage
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on dedicated infrastructure provided by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+, access is restricted to authorized systems, and database backups are retained for up to 30 days. Shopify access credentials are encrypted at rest. After Shopify sends the shop/redact compliance webhook, synced Shopify products are deleted and stored credentials are scrubbed. If you close your Automwise account, remaining personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except records that must be retained by law.

- Authentication and session management
Each third-party provider operates under their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction
- Update or correct inaccurate personal information
- Deletion
- Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export
- Download your content (articles, research, templates) in standard formats
- Restriction
- Limit how we process your data while a complaint is resolved
